We have finally arrived. The bus seemed to take weeks, but its okay because we saw flamingos on the way. Bariloche was a really nice town filled with hobbitt houses and really nice pillows. Not to mention the beautiful mountains and lakes that were everywhere. We went on some interesting hikes with snow up to our knees or dogs following us for over 10 miles.
El Clafate and the Moreno glacier were absolutly amazing. The glacier was over 60 meters high, 4 kilometers wide, and 30 k long. There are huge chucks of ice falling into the lake, which sound like thunder or cannons going off. It is actually the only glacier on earth the is still getting larger. We took a boat ride around the lake that served whiskey with big chunks of glacial ice in it. Of course, we couldn´t resist and we will add a pic soon.
We forgot to post this and it is a few days later. Today (happy birthday mary) we arrived in Chile, and on the border when getting our passport stamped we saw our first condor flying above us. Tomorrow we will be going to Torres del Paine National Park to go on a 5 day trek called the W. So in the meantime whitney matt have a good birthday and everybody please have an amazing halloween. Please think of us while you celebrate our favorite holiday, while we are in a place where no one has ever heard of halloween. Dont worry we are going to dress up anyway. You girls are crazy! I'm jealous, it sounds like your having an awesome time! Going through old e-mails I found this it couldn't stop reading everything posted. Oh I'm sure you'll show South America a great Halloween. Take care of yourselves and keep up with the fun!
