Montevideo

After long bus rides, short boat trips, and lots of walking we have arrived in Uruguay and are staying in a real classy joint. A wopping three dollars a night. We took a bus for 18 hours to Iguazu Falls which are four times larger than Niagara. The falls are right on the border of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina but thanks to our fabulous president we weren't able to leave Argentina bc of outrages visa costs. From there we went to a reserve called Ibera where we camped for 2 days. There were crazy animals all over the place and we saw tons of birds, alligators, monkeys, and these oversized rodents that weigh up to 150 lbs. Before heading to Ibera the one ATM in town was not working, so we ahd to budget about $2 per day each, so needless to say we ate a lot of bread and only bread. Also, the weather while in Ibera went from about 110 degrees to 40 in about 12 hours, making camping quite interesting. All in all we had a great time, tramping around in the woods, playing a lot of cards, and loading up on Carbs. Now we are exploring Montevideo for a few days before heading back to Buenos Aires then we will start our trip south to Patagonia. Oh yeah, if someone can come visit and bring about a gallon of hot sauce that would be just great, bc life seems a little incomplete without hot sauce. We will be sure to add some pics when we get back to BsAs. And if anyone can tell us when The Goblet of Fire comes out in South America we will get you a prize.
